Our Little Crazy Hair Baby
Here are a few shots of Anais and her ever-growing hair. She is doing quite well. She loves her gym class and will start art this spring. She loves her father very much and wakes up every morning with the words, "Snuggle Daddy."
Imagine there's no Heaven (it's easy if you try)
One of the amazing things watching Anaïs grow up is being able to track her reasoning abilities as they grow. As an example, over the past month or so, she's been working on her imagination with different physical entities.
Stage 1: Having her "babies" do things. "Can your baby help put away the blocks?" Anaïs mashes her baby and the block together and dumps the block into the box.
Stage 2: Having Elmo pick things up. She took a page that had come out of a coloring book with Elmo on it and used it to pick things up, saying "Elmo". Elmo was facing away from her and toward the object. (This might have been the most impressive phase, translating 2D into 3D).
Stage 3: Going around with a lion puppet on her hand having 'Lion' do things, such as draw on the chalkboard and have snack.
I'm sure it hasn't stopped here, but it's now beyond my limited abilities to figure out.

Cousins
Here is the princess with her cousing Owen and Hailey. We are very happy to have them up here. We saw them for the Superbowl and had a lovely time.

Chuck E. Cheese
She has also develped a great love for the word pizza. She likes a bit of pizza now and then, but prefers her bread and cheese without all the sauce and pepperoni ruining it.
We will probably head out again on her 2nd birthday. I can only hope she will still love playing the video games with the same passion without the use of pricey tokens on our next trip.

Flying the Coop

Here she is again, being her silly diva self. The first photo is Anais at her best in faux fur and sparkling jewels. She has become quite fond of dressing up and picking the perfect accents to show off her fashion sense. The second picture is one of my favorites. I suppose I did ask Santa for a happy child and he delivered it to me as requested.
As for the third photo...well, she did need a Christmas dress. (Thank you mom.) There are plenty more photos to come of the holidays. Thank you to everyone for the lovely gifts and great company.
